WHO WE ARE

Welcome to Dear Future Self, where we’re dedicated to innovative non-formal learning experiences. Our core mission revolves around cultivating personal growth and essential skills. We provide dynamic platforms for young individuals to embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and continuous learning. 

After years of wandering, growing, discovering, and learning in non-formal environments, the founders of Dear Future Self Association wanted to bring for the first time in their community the opportunities that they were looking for while they were in the phase of transition from adolescence to adulthood. Therefore, the main aim of the association is to guide teenagers and young people in their becoming journey and to help them adapt to a future that changes at a fast pace. Dear Future Self Association is the space where creative minds become the leaders of next generations ready to face any challenges of the future.

 

WHAT WE DO

At the local level, the members of Dear Future Self Association propose interactive and game-based learning experiences for young people to guide them to discover their potential, help them develop essential skills relevant for the constantly changing needs of the labor market, and spot compatible career options. We are bringing together young people with different backgrounds and encourage them to learn how to sharpen their skills, be creative, control and express their emotions in a productive manner, improve their ability to reflect upon themselves, manage time and information efficiently, interact constructively with others, be empathetic, learn to learn, construct compelling arguments, develop a growth-oriented mindset and lead a future-oriented life. Moreover, we have solid connections with the local authorities and representatives of the city which support us in providing learning experiences for the young people.

Internationally, we cooperate with Youth NGOs from the European Union based on the networks provided by the founders and permanent team. Our team is already familiar with all the processes of Erasmus+ youth mobilities and have strong partnerships among international organisations, facts that will help us to be able to implement quality and sustainable projects, promote them on the right channels and bring the new methods and tools in our community.
